I especially like the reflection of the clouds in the water.

Our Rescuers

Our Rescuers
There was an old run-down pontoon boat that we could use while at girls' weekend at the Friend's lake home. We couldn't wait to get out on the lake, but we couldn't get it started. Luckily Janine's Uncle came to help. Once it was started, we decided to tool around the lake and not stop (we didn't want to risk not being able to start it again). The engine had a mind of its own and just stopped in the middle of the lake. After laughing a bit, we flagged down a nice couple who offered up their son to come help us get it started again. The son was a 14 year old boy and he showed up with his friend in a fishing boat. They couldn't start it, either... but towed us home safely. This was the first of many strange events of girls' weekend!

Rain Over the Lake

Rain Over the Lake
It was a cold and rainy day, but it didn't stop Bill and Mark from golfing. My mom and I joined them at the 19th hole. The rain and fog came rolling in over Lyon Lake as we sat in the Marshall Country Club looking out the window.

We went to dinner with some friends at a restaurant on White Lake (Michigan). Some children were feeding fish near the shore, but this little guy was intently coloring at the end of the dock. Precious!

Today was my debut as a guest speaker at an Oakland University graduate class. On my way home, I drove by Orchard Lake. What a beautiful view!

This photo was taken about five minutes before it began to rain. We were having a Friday evening dinner out at the White Lake Inn, Michigan.
