We spent the afternoon in the area around the Hoover Dam. I didn't get any great photos of the dam itself, but the landcape surrounding the massive concrete structure was breathtaking. The huge dam was built in the 1930s to provide irrigation water flow, for flood control, and for hydroelectric-power generation. The history and science behind it all is very interesting!
