I'll be going to our neighborhood cookie exchange tomorrow, so I spent the afternoon baking. These cookies are frosted oatmeal pumpkin cookies. They taste better than they look; so yummy!
We were invited to our friends' home for a true English feast. The table was set and ready for beef wellington, salad, potatoes, veggies, and trifle for dessert, Delicious! A great time was had with great friends.
The turkey was in the oven and the TV was tuned into the Lions' game... we thought it was a good time to go geocaching. This one was a fun, sneaky hide. Happy Thanksgiving! Photo by Bill Church.
We're unloading boxed full of Chrismas decorations. Our silly cat should be able to tell that she is way too big for this box, but nevertheless tried to squeeze into it. That's her foot sticking up in the back; she's folded up in the little box. Photo taken by Paul Shoemaker.
Hubby spent the afternoon putting up Christmas lights today. When I went out to take a picture of them, he said "You know I'm only half done out there, right?" Duly noted... I'll take another when all done.
This morning it was raining as I left for work in the morning. One of our shrubs was glistening; it was absolutely saturated with rain water. Although my photo is blurry, it was very beautiful to see. I probably moved while taking the shot because I was gettting wet!
My cat loves to wedge herself in boxes. This isn't really a box, it is a packaging piece from a coffee pot box, but she wouldn't let my husband put it in the garbage this morning.
Today I attended a MACUL Board meeting in East Lansing, Michigan. We met at a building very close to campus. I overshot the drive to the building and ended up at Brody Hall. There were bikes everywhere! No students were in sight, but that was probably due to the time (8:15am).
I arrived at work this morning as the landscape maintenance crew was busy at work. Although I only captured two workers in this photo, there were a few more. I chuckled and couldn't get the Ghostbusters movie out of my mind. Could this be the Leafbusters?
It's been a beauty of a day today in SE Michigan. Mid-60s and sunny! Hope we get several more of these kinds of days before the cold ones are the norm.
It's another beautiful day today; temps in early 70s and sunny! The local geocaches were calling me... I set out with a friend to find a few. This Red Oak was found in Maple Glen Park in Commerce Township. The picture doesn't do it justice. The trunk was HUGE. It is probably over 250 years old. It's been through many wind storms, winters, a fire or two, and an old hunter that put nails into this fine tree.
This "V" could be an image in the "Spelling with Flickr" collection! The football teams from two of my past schools won today, so this is for them... Marshall High School and Michigan State University. Hooray!
A teacher friend of mine from a school a few hundred miles away asked if I'd be able to Skype with her 5th grade class so they could read me a book. How cool is that?
I drove by a park that I've never been to before on the way to one of the elementary schools in my school district. I went back at our lunch break to check out the view.
