If you are looking for a fun family getaway, consider going to Wisonsin Dells, the water park capital of the world. The Glacier Canyon Lodge and Waterpark is a luxury resort that has a HUGE waterpark. Only guests of the resort can go to the water park, so it is not crowded. Check it out at www.glaciercanyonlodge.com.

My sister lost control of her car and ended up in a field. We are thankful that she wasn't hurt. It was time for a new car anyway; she'll probably be getting a Saturn Outlook.

Marshall, Michigan has a small microbrew pub called the Dark Horse. It has lots of character and is always busy. One of those mugs up there is mine!

It has been HOT and humid the past few days. This little fan has been by my side nearly everywhere I go. It looks different to the eye; you cannot see the fan blades when it is on the highest setting!

My mom saw one of these "rain trees" on a trip to New England, fell in love with it, and ordered one. Isn't it cool?

My nephew, Dylon, has developed talent playing the guitar. He wowed a bunch of us playing "Stairway to Heaven."

We attended my husband's family reunion in Marine City, Michigan. The weather forecast said it would be cloudy, but it turned out to be much more than that! The rain came down HARD for about 30 minutes, then quickly blew over. The tent nearly blew over, despite everyone's best effort to hold it up!

My daughter had her wisdom teeth extracted today. I took a picture of her sleeping with her eyes open and chipmunk cheeks, but promised not to post it online. This is a close-up of one of our shrubs and is much more appropriate.

My daughter's graduation party was today. We were blessed with beautiful weather and lots of friends and family who attended. I kept pretty busy all day and didn't snap even one photo during the party; this one of a table decoration was taken after-the-fact. Congratulations, Lisa!

This photo was snapped as we were watching the Stanley Cup Final game (when we were still hopeful of Detroit winning). You can see the game on the TV in the house. The Penguins won...darn it.

There was a tornado warning last night. As soon as the weather cleared, we went out on the front porch to check out the sky. This frog was hanging out on the sidewalk; perhaps he was checking out the sky, too.

A large tree in our back yard came down in a wind storm last summer. Today a bunch of neighbors had fun with their chain saws trying to get rid of the stump. The ants had moved in!

My husband thinks these are bees, but I'm not sure. They seem to have drilled a hole in the underside of our gazebo. They've been sprayed with Raid, so are no longer there.
